ABSTRACT
Chronic pancreatitis is characterized by both persistent and irreversible progression of pancreatic lesions with various clinical manifestations and complications. Alcohol abuse predominates as the most common cause of chronic pancreatitis. We treated a 49-year-old male patient who had a 5-year history of alcohol abuse and complained of these symptoms; abdominal pain and coldness, dyspepsia. We diagnosed as Bi-sin-yang-heo (Pishenyangxu), and employed Oriental medical treatments; herb-medication, acupuncture and moxa therapy. The chief complaints were improved.
Key words: Chronic pancreatitis, Alcohol abuse, Bi-sin-yang-heo (Pishenyangxu)
