ABSTRACT
Lateral medullary syndrome is famous for its unique symptom complex such as vertigo, headache, vomiting, ataxia, and horner s syndrome. This study is based on the clinical consideration of one patient who suffered from medullar oblongata infarction and cerebellar infarction. We experienced an improved case of lateral medullary syndrome caused by medullar oblongata and cerebellar infarction. We used herbal medicine and acupuncture. Based on this experience, it is considered that oriental medicine and acupuncture can be applied to the treatment of lateral medullary syndrome caused by medullar oblongata and cerebellar infarction.
