One Case of Hepatotoxic Hepatitis after Taking Yugmijihwang-won |

ABSTRACT |
We reported a 32-year-old man diagnosed with hepatotoxic hepatitis after taking Yugmijihwang-won for 33 days. The patient complained yellowish skin and abdominal pain. We recognized that AST (229 U/L), ALT (498 U/L), total bilirubin (11.36 mg/dL), direct bilirubin (6.09 mg/dL), LD (324 U/L), γ -GTP (648 U/L), ALP (100 U/L) were evaluated. We stopped giving Yugmijihwang-won and then observed him. After 6days, the clinical symptoms disappeared. After 23 days, liver function improved. So, We need to accumulate objective data about herbal medications inducing hepatotoxic hepatitis and prescribe them to a patient with herbal medication inducing hepatotoxic hepatitis. |
